Allons Manger! Let’s eat! St. Landry Parish Tourism, the official destination marketing organization for the parish, is launching Allons Manger, a new rewards program that aims to support local restaurants. The passport is free for restaurants to participate and for diners to enjoy.

Confederate monument now headed to Kentwood

By Harlan Kirgan Editor In an about-face, the monument to Confederate soldiers on the St. Landry Parish Courthouse grounds will be moved to Camp Moore Confederate Cemetery and Museum near Kentwood. Camp Moore was the mentioned as the first location for the 102-year-old monument.

Tourism at LSUE

The importance of education and the impact of LSU Eunice on the area were presented to the Acadia Parish Tourism Commission at its quarterly meeting on Tuesday. LSU Eunice hosted the commission meeting at the Anthony Mumphrey Center on the campus for a Destination Brunch that including a tour.

After an executive session, the Eunice Board of Aldermen approved disciplinary action against Eunice Police Lt. Stephanie Myers. Details about the action or what caused Myers to be the focus of Board action was not discussed.
