Louisiana Family Practice makes healthy changes, designated a WellSpot by LDH

Louisiana Family Practice has been designated a Level 2 WellSpot by the Louisiana Department of Health. WellSpots are spaces and places in Louisiana that voluntarily implement healthy changes in their environment to help their employees and community live well.

Kyle LeBouef announces for chief of police

Kyle LeBouef has announced he is a candidate for Eunice Police Chief in the November election. I was born June 5, 1961 in Eunice. My parents are James LeBouef (deceased) and Carol Ann Fournerat LeBouef. I have three siblings. Scotty LeBouef (deceased), Troy LeBouef, and LaRaie LeBouef.

Parish travel budget soars

The St. Landry Parish Council was forced to face a travel expense out of whack with its budget and the same can be said for the administration. The Council is about $17,000 over budget and the administration is about $10,000 over its travel budget.

Athletic event security

The St. Landry Parish School Board is implementing several safety and security plans for athletic events including a clear bag policy and online ticket purchases. “It is an exciting time of the year as the athletes begin participating in their different sports,” Superintendent Patrick Jenkins said.

Eunice resident shares her encounter with Queen Elizabeth

The death of Queen Elizabeth II prompted Eunice resident Donna Baltakis to share her encounter with the queen. The queen died at the age of 96 on Thursday at Balmoral Castle in Scotland after serving 70 years on the throne.

Second annual Christmas Fest set Dec. 1 The second annual Eunice Community Garden Christmas Festival is set for Dec. 1 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. The free event will be held on the grounds of the Eunice Community Garden located behind the DMV at 2101 West Ash in Eunice.
