SLEMCO’s 85th Annual Meeting attracts thousands

Former LSUE basketball player missing after tubing in Idaho

Authorities are searching for a 21-year-old former LSUE basketball player from Lafourche Parish who went missing in an Idaho river near Boise after visiting the state for a trip, according to a report on WDSU’s website.

Donald Ray Thibodeaux

Donald Ray Thibodeaux passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the age of 64. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2022 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Pastor Dennis Gotreaux officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Hayward Johnwell Jr.

EUNICE–On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, Hayward Johnwell, Jr, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away at the Opelousas General Hospital at the age of 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Wednesday, June 15 ,2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice.
