Eunice Police Department and St. Landry Crime Stoppers need help in locating a suspect wanted for the shooting of a 14-year-old victim in the city of Eunice. On May 4, just after 10 p.m., Eunice Police responded to a call of someone being shot in the 200 block of Acadia Street.

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating several vehicle burglaries in the Perchville Road area just south of Eunice. On June 3 during the early morning hours, two suspects entered several vehicles seeking to steal property from within.

Helen Marie Overstreet LaFleur passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the age of 84. A Memorial Mass will be held at noon on Monday, June 13, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Sal Istre Celebrant. Interment of ashes will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
