8 arrested in Project Safe Neighborhoods

Eight people were arrested and $40,000 worth of illegal drugs were taken off the streets in Project Safe Neighborhoods in April, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz in a news release. The Sheriff’s Office also seized seven guns, three vehicles and $9,600 in cash.

EUNICE–On Sunday, May 1, 2022, Sylvia “Tibby” Bollich Lintzen, mom, grandmother, sister and friend passed away at St. Frances Nursing Home in Oberlin at the age of 85. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice.

Eunice – Elrine Marie Caswell Belfour Segura, 94, passed away May 1, 2022, at The Guardian rehabilitation facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was born August 29, 1927, in Eunice and preceded in death by husbands Lloyd Belfour, and L.J. Segura, her mother Loursia Bertrand Caswell, father C.
