Clarence Mitchell, 36, apparently died from gunshot wounds Tuesday afternoon. St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz stated in a news release that his office was called at 1:31 p.m. about a shooting on Bradley Street just outside the City of Eunice.

The Louisiana survey showed the percentage of residents who think the state is headed in the right direction is at the lowest level since 2004.
