St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s captain accused of stealing evidence

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Capt. Bryan Lafleur was arrested and charged with malfeasance in office, injuring public records and obstruction of justice on Monday, according to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.

James Wade Bordelon

James “Wade” Bordelon passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the age of 64. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at New Hope Fellowship with Pastor Weston Weaver officiating.

Gary "Goose" Fontenot

EUNICE–It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Gary “Goose” Fontenot, former Eunice Police Chief, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. He was 69. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m.
