Wyble to speak at LSUE commencement

Concealed permit class Saturday
The St Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is hosting a one-day concealed carry permit training class at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at 211 W. Park Ave., Eunice.
The course is $100 and $80 for a spouse or renewal.

Crash in Acadia Parish leaves driver dead

A crash on La. 98 near Mamou Prairie Road in Acadia Parish shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday claimed the life of 42-year-old Jerry J. Menou of Iota.
The initial investigation revealed Menou was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu onto La. 98 from a private driveway.
