Funeral services for Eva Mae Denton, age 73, were held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Owens-Thomas Funeral Home in Ville Platte, and burial was in the St. James baptist church cemetery in Bayou Chicot. Eva died Thursday, January 31, 2019, in Mamou.

Agnes Marie Reiners

Agnes Marie Reiners, fondly known to many as “Aunt Agnes,” passed away Feb. 7, 2019, in Homer. Mrs. Reiners was born at Laccassine on Aug. 17, 1925. She grew up in Roberts Cove and lived much of her adult life in Eunice. In her later years, she relocated to Sibley. Services for Mrs.
