Fans urged to ‘stay in the game’ by not drinking and driving

Only one team in the Sugar Bowl matchup on New Year’s Day can advance in the college football playoffs, but the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission wants all fans at the Superdome and those watching at home to “stay in the game” by not drinking and driving.

Fire marshal offers safety tips ahead of New Year holiday

With fireworks tents and stands starting to see more sales following the Christmas holiday, the State Fire Marshal’s Office wants to encourage all Louisiana residents to not only be safe when using fireworks, but knowledgeable when buying them.
