Tips sought about cold case killing

Opelousas Police and Crime Stoppers needs help in solving a cold-case homicide in the city of Opelousas. In the early morning hours of Oct. 7, 2020, officers with the Opelousas Police Department were dispatched to 426 W. Landry St., in reference to gunshots in the area.

Acadia Parish teen wanted on 8 counts of attempted first-degree murder

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to locate a wanted fugitive. The Crowley Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with locating Jonathon Moore. Moore, 17, is a black male, 5’, 7” in height and weighs about 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Crime Stopper tip in June leads to drug bust in December

CA Crime Stopper tip on June 4 led to the arrest of an Opelousas man on Thursday, Sheriff Bobby Guidroz reported. The tip was about illegal drug activity in the 1300 block of Nash Drive, Opelousas.

Lafayette men busted for conspiracy to commit armed robbery

Three Lafayette men targeted for an undercover buy of four pounds of marijuana ended up being charged with criminal conspiracy to commit armed robbery. St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz stated that on Wednesday, detectives initiated an undercover purchase of four pounds of marijuana.
