Eunice porch pirate sought

Eunice Police are asking for help in identifying an individual who was captured on video taking a package from a residence on the 500 block of West Vine Avenue, loading it in the rear of a vehicle, and driving off. The incident was reported at 1:24 p.m. on June 12.

Acadia Parish Sheriff: 8 arrested, 6 warrants issued in 4-wheeler, ATV thefts 

For the past 8 months, the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office has been working a high quantity of vehicle, 4-wheeler and ATV thefts within our parish. These crimes have occurred in various areas of the parish with a large number of these thefts occurring in the northeast portion of the parish.

2 busted for prostitution at Opelousas spa

Two women ere arrested for prostitution at the Green Spa located at 628 Creswell Lane in Opelousas, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.

Former Grand Coteau police chief convicted of felonies

Former Grand Coteau Police Chief Jeffery Guilbeau was convicted on June 11 of three felony charges in connection with his employment with the City of Grand Coteau, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad Pitre.
