Sex offender sentenced 70 years

Larry Primeaux Sr., 73, of Washington, was sentenced to serve a total of 70 years at hard labor with 50 of those years to be served without probation, parole or suspension of sentence, according to District Attorney Chad Pitre. Primeaux was convicted on Oct.

St. Landry Crime Stoppers needs help in solving a drive-by shooting in the Lawtell-Lewisburg area. On Nov. 8, deputies were dispatched to the area of Moonlight Road and Homer Richard Road in reference to witnesses hearing 50 to 60 gunshots.
