Tips sought about theft of 2 vehicles south of Church Point

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of two vehicles that occurred in the northeast portion of the parish on Nov. 17 during the early morning hours.

Opelousas woman charged with murder

An Opelouas woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of another woman on Nov. 17. St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call at about 5:50 a.m. regarding a shooting. Deputies arrived and found a female gunshot wounds.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. Monday, Nov. 20 Kathleen Ranton, 40, 1300 block of West Grolee, Opelousas. Disturbing the peace, tampering with surveillance. Chelsea Miller, 36, 1100 block of Old Crowley Road, Eunice. Contempt of court.
