St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz confirmed that on July 16 just after 11 p.m. his office investigated a shooting that resulted in a death in the Opelousas area. Preliminary reports indicate that the shooting happened near Scattered Acres Road and I-49 South.
