The following are arrests by Eunice Police. June 8 Kody Demon Charles, 20, 500 block of East Franklin Street, Opelousas. Windshield view inward and outward must be unobstructed tint, open container alcoholic beverage, child restraints and seatbelts, and flight from an officer in a vehicle.

Chief: Wounded man knew nothing

A man who was wounded in the leg told police he was minding his own business and realized he was bleeding, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said. Police met the man at Acadian Medical Center on June 3 — at about 9 p.m. — following an evening of gunfire in some usual locations.

Police beef up patrol

Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said there was a last minute decision to place six additional officers on patrol Saturday night. “They said by 9 o’clock Saturday night, Eunice was like a ghost town,” he said.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. June 8 Tara Delena Francis, 34, 100 block of Barbie Lane, Opelousas. Remaining after being forbidden, resisting an officer. Arrested by Louisiana State Police. Ray T. LaGrange, 59, 400 block of Credeur Road, Cankton.
