Thieves steal $15K worth of cigarettes

Two thieves broke into Vautrots Mini Mart south of Church Point in the early morning hours of March 23 and loaded two trash cans with cartons of cigarettes. Acadia Crime Stoppers is asking the public’s help to nab the thieves.

Crashes claim 2 lives in Acadia

Two lives were lost in two separate crashes in Acadia Parish on Friday, according to a Louisiana State Police Troop I news release. Shortly after midnight, police were notified of a two-vehicle fatal crash on U.S. Interstate 10 about 2 miles west of La. 91.
