St. Landry Crime Stoppers needs help in solving a shooting in the Opelousas area. At about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 9, St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to 134 Milo Lane Opelousas in reference to a shooting. The victims in the shooting were a 24-year old-male and a female juvenile, age 11.

The man and woman involved in a stabbing incident in Eunice face charges, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. At 11:19 p.m. Eunice Police were contacted about a person bleeding out at U.S. 190 and South St. George.

The following are excerpts from the Eunice Police Department radio dispatch logs. February 16 06:34 Disabled vehicle that possibly hit a dumpster in the 200 block of East Vine. 07:40 Simple burglary in the area of East Peach and North Cane. 07:54 Disturbance reported in the 600 block of West Dean.
Acadia Parish Sheriff’s detectives are requesting the public’s assistance with vehicle burglaries that occurred in the northern part of Acadia Parish. During the late evening of Feb. 10 and early morning hours of Feb. 11, two suspects were captured on video surveillance entering unlocked vehicles in the East Ardoin and Perchville Road area of Acadia Parish. Tuesday was violent night in St. Landry and Evangeline parishes. In Eunice, police were called to Acadian Medical Center at 8:40 p.m. about a gunshot victim. At 8:52 p.m. it was determined the gunshot victim was from an incident in Evangeline Parish.
