State Fire Marshal offers safety tips ahead of the New Year holiday

As another fireworks sales season begins, the State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFM) wants to encourage all Louisiana residents to not only be safe when using fireworks, but knowledgeable when buying them and prepared if considering attending a public fireworks display during this pandemic.

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. December 22 Julie Lynn Lavergne, 43, 100 block of W. Pine Street, Lafayette. Bench warrant (2 counts). Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Jessica Lane Delphin, 39, 600 block of Bayou Tortue Road, Broussard.

Eunice Police Arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. Dec. 21 Kelli N. Grayson, 42, 1200 block of South Lake Arthur Ave., Jennings. Bench warrant. Dec. 22 Christopher Matherne, 30, 200 block of North 8th Street, Eunice. Domestic abuse battery, simple criminal damage to property less than $1,000.
