Ville Platte men arrested in 4-wheeler thefts

Two Ville Platte men hsve been arrested in several four-wheeler thefts in St. Landry and Evangeline parishes, according to a St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s news release. Two juveniles also have been arrested in the ATV thefts.

Information sought in home burglary in Swords area

St. Landry Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a home burglary that would lead to an arrest. On Oct. 9, the homeowner reported a burglary in the 500 block of Sonnier Road, according to Lt. James Bergeron of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. The homeowner left his home around 9:15 a.m.

Person injured in drive-by shooting on Rupert Lake Road

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting which occurred in the 1200 block of Rupert Lake Road south of Eunice about about 10 p.m. Nov. 2.
