Eunice Police are seeking donations to bring back a K9 unit targeting drugs. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said, “We are looking into getting another K-9 for narcotics since we retired our other two because of their age and the cost.

Iota student expelled after bringing gun to school

In a matter that has been turned over to authorities, one student at Iota High has been expelled for bringing a gun to school. The student, a juvenile, brought a gun to school and left it in his locker to go practice shooting targets with someone after school, Superintendent John Bourque said.
