Eunice escapee caught

Eunice Police, acting on a tip, responded to 821 South Beulah St, Apt 3D, and recaptured Richard Louis Deville, 34, of Eunice, at 6:45 p.m. Thursday. According to news release, after obtaining a search warrant, officers located Deville hiding in Apartment 3A and took him into custody.

Crash kills Church Point woman

A single-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred on La. 357 near its intersection with La. 358 claimed the life of 86-year-old Anna Landry of Church Point. according to a Louisiana State Police Troop I new release. Police stated they began their investigation shortly before 2 a.m. Feb. 28.
