Lady Cats, Bobcats fall in tourney
OPELOUSAS – The No. 2 seed Eunice Lady Bobcats went 0-2 in the St. Landry Parish basketball tournament held this past weekend at Opelousas High.

The Bobcats opened the 2017 season at 1-4 and finished with a 5-6 overall record after an opening round playoff loss to Berwick.

The run to the championship game for the Bobcats has been an impressive turnaround from the 5-6 finish in 2017.
“This has been a great season,” EHS head coach Paul Trosclair said. “We are playing good football.”
The Bobcat faithful will fill their side of the Superdome in New Orleans Friday night when Eunice faces Sterlington for the Class 3-A championship.
NEW ORLEANS – It has been 20 years since Ryan Deshotel touched the turf of the Louisiana Superdome.
Friday, Deshotel will be coaching on the sidelines as Eunice takes on Sterlington for the Class 3-A state championship.
The local fans wanted a rematch between No. 1 Iota and No. 2 Eunice in the Class 3-A state championship.
