Bobcats open season with win

The Eunice Bobcats opened the season with a 67-41 home win over Crowley. The Bobcats jumped out to an 8-0 lead, aided by three pointers from Dedric Vigers and Terrance Shilow and bucket by Tyshun Joseph. After an Omar Butler bucket for Crowley, went on a 9-4 surge to push ahead, 19-6.

Lady Jays grab win in tourney

VILLE PLATTE – It was a battle to the finish as St. Edmund grabbed a 50-46 win over rival Basile at the Turkey Tournament held at Sacred Heart of Ville Platte. The Lady Jays held an 8-7 lead after the first quarter as a preview of how the two teams would battle the entire contest.

Six Lady Cats earn All-District

After its most successful season in program history, Eunice High placed six Lady Bobcats on the volleyball All-District 2, Div. III list. Eunice set a school record at 22-9 overall and entered the playoffs as the No. 22 seed. The Lady Cats fell 25-15, 25-17 and 25-15 against No. 11 Haynes Academy.
