Eunice High battled until the end, but Washington Marion left town with a 65-54 District 4-4A win. The Indians jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Brycelen Williams drilled a trey for the Bobcats. Washington Marion’s Justin Thomas answered with a three pointer as the Indians moved ahead, 14-3.

The season has been a tough one for the Blue Jays. After just one win so far the season, St. Edmund opened District 5-1A play Tuesday with a 101-29 loss to the North Central Hurricanes. North Central controlled the game from the beginning with a 28-7 first quarter run.

The Tigers exploded for a 24-4 second quarter surge as Lake Arthur cruised to a 57-24 win over St. Edmund. Ian Dupre scored in the lane to give the Jays an early lead, but the Tigers answered with a 7-0 run.

Church Point grabs sweep over SEH

CHURCH POINT – It was a good night for the home teams as Church Point grabbed a sweep over St. Edmund. In the battle between the Lady Bears and Lady Jays, Church Point earned a 42-37 victory. The Lady Bears opened the game with a 13-8 run.
