Eunice High battled until the end, but Washington Marion left town with a 65-54 District 4-4A win. The Indians jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Brycelen Williams drilled a trey for the Bobcats. Washington Marion’s Justin Thomas answered with a three pointer as the Indians moved ahead, 14-3.

There is an excitement surrounding the beginning of the Lady Jays’ softball season. With great expectations and high hopes under St. Edmund first year head coach Alex Chapman, the Lady Jays began practices this past week. “I am very excited about starting the season,” Chapman said.

Lake Arthur downs Jays

The Tigers exploded for a 24-4 second quarter surge as Lake Arthur cruised to a 57-24 win over St. Edmund. Ian Dupre scored in the lane to give the Jays an early lead, but the Tigers answered with a 7-0 run.

SEH Powerlifters looking for strong finish

St. Edmund powerlifting has a storied history including a state title in 1998 and a third place finish in 1999. Jason Daire was a state runner-up in 1998 and won it all in 1999.

Church Point grabs sweep over SEH

CHURCH POINT – It was a good night for the home teams as Church Point grabbed a sweep over St. Edmund. In the battle between the Lady Bears and Lady Jays, Church Point earned a 42-37 victory. The Lady Bears opened the game with a 13-8 run.
