The Lady Jays won its second consecutive district title and St. Edmund was rewarded with 10 players placed on the All-District 4-1A softball team list.
The 2018 Class 3-A state championship was still the headliner at Thursday’s Eunice High annual football award ceremony.
BATON ROUGE – Eunice Bobcat Javondre Edwards won the Class 3-A title in the 110-meter hurdles and finished second in the 300-meter hurdles at the state meet held Saturday at LSU’s Bernie Moore track complex.
LONGVILLE – The Eunice High Bobcats fell short in their quest to advance to the Class 3A semifinals Friday night, falling to the South Beauregard Knights by a 7-3 margin in the quarterfinal round of the best of three game series.

LONGVILLE – The No. 11 Bobcats were forced into a season defining moment Thursday night as No. 3 South Beauregard grabbed a 4-3 win over Eunice High in the opening game of the Class 3-A quarterfinal series.
LORANGER – Eunice High and Loranger completed their best of three-game regional this past week as the Bobcats grabbed two wins to earn a trip to South Beauregard in a quarterfinal Class 3-A Regional round.
VILLE PLATTE – Sacred Heart of Ville Platte dominated the series against rival St. Edmund as the Trojans ended the Blue Jays’ season in the opening round of the LHSAA Division IV playoffs.
