Body of former LSUE baskeball player found

The body of former LSUE basketball player Everette Jackson was found about 2 miles downstream from where he was last seen tubing on the Payette River. The Gem County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday in a press release that a volunteer located Jackson’s body.

Authorities are searching for a 21-year-old former LSUE basketball player from Lafourche Parish who went missing in an Idaho river near Boise after visiting the state for a trip, according to a report on WDSU’s website.

You’ve probably heard the old saying, “Leaves of three, let it be.” For those who have spent time in the great outdoors, this is a rite of passage, much like the art of making s’mores. So, what am I talking about, and why is this important?

Eunice High School seniors Allison Freeman and Madison Freeman signed a letter of intent with McNeese State University to join the university’s track and field team. Allison was rewarded with an academic and athletic scholarship, and Madison was awarded with a partial athletic and academic scholarship.
