Six LSU Eunice sophomores are continuing their softball careers at the next level. NJCAA All-American Mima Doucet is heading to Southeastern Louisiana University along with teammate Emily Henderson.

Wriborg tabbed to USA Today All-Louisiana Team

Hunter Wriborg’s list of accolades continue to grow well into the summer after the junior hurler helped lead the Iota Bulldogs to a Class 3A state championship appearance last month.

Bobcats go 2-1 in McNeese tourney

LAKE CHARLES – The Eunice Bobcats finished play at McNeese with a 2-1 record, losing on Friday to South Beauregard before defeating the DeRidder Dragons later on Friday and defeating the Legends 15, a team from the Lafayette area on Saturday.

Hitting the showcase baseball tour

Eunice High’s Austin Phillips and Tyler Darbonne are enjoying a summer full of baseball. As the Metro League winds down for the summer, the Bobcat duo along with EHS head coach Scott Phillips are participating in a summer showcase for underclassmen.

LBCA All-Region 5 team named

Four Eunice High baseball players were named to the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association All-Region 5 team.

The post season accolades continue for several area softhall players as the 2018 Louisiana Softball Coaches All-Stste teams have been released. St. Edmund senior shortstop Gabby Fontenot and senior pitcher Maggie Larrievere (were named to Class 1-A All-State team.

Local trio heads to showcase

LAKE CHARLES – Eunice High juniors Austin Phillips and Tyler Darbonne, along with Iota High junior Hunter Wriborg have been selected to play today in a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. at the McNeese baseball stadium. The showcase is called the Louisiana/Texas shootout.

Manuel signs with LSUA
