The Eunice Rotary Club’s 2020 Citizen of the Year is Nickie Toups.
The nomination letter written by Elizabeth and Willie Bergeron noted Toups’ love, drive and passion for people and the community. Toups is the administrator at Eunice Manor for the past 5 years.
The Eunice Community Health Center is usually involved in providing health care to those in need, but the coronovirus turned that situation around.
Now, the clinic is needing the public’s help because the virus shutdown many of its usual sources of funding.
The annual Spirit of Christmas Food Drive sponsored by Super 1 Foods is here. Each year, it is the Eunice Rotary Club’s goal to deliver baking hens and boxes of food to 100 needy families in the Eunice area.
The Eunice Rotary Club is seeking nominations for the 2019 Eunice Administrative Professional of the Year. The winner will receive a free trip to Branson, Missouri; courtesy of KEUN Radio, $500 spending money from the Rotary Club, a plaque and a flower arrangement.
The event will be held May 1.
Dale Sittig accepts the Eunice Rotary Club’s 2018 Citizen of the Year Award, presented to him by John Pucheu, chairman of the club’s Citizen of the Year committee.
The Rotary Club was founded in 1924 and has given the Citizen of the Year award since 1942.
