Bobcats top North Vermilion in jamboree action

It wasn't perfect. It's not how they wanted it to be. But, the Eunice Bobcats took care of business against the North Vermilion Patriots and won 14-6 in jamboree action in Rayne on Thursday night.

Football season arrives

There’s nothing quite like it, and when the ball is teed up on the last week in August for jamborees it can only mean one thing. High school football is back and the Eunice Bobcats and St.

Lady Jays set for new season

When St. Ed’s volleyball coach Brittany Comeaux talks about her Lady Jays heading into the 2024 season, there are a couple of very clear things about her and her approach to volleyball. First, she loves coaching.

Eunice High volleyball banks on key returning players

There’s no doubt that over the past couple years, Eunice High’s volleyball team has been the best it has ever been under coach Wayne Fontenot. Two years ago, the team set the school record for wins and last season it was streaky as they finished the year at 16-16.

Coaching runs in the family

What’s in a name? Well, there’s plenty in a name if you happen to share one with the most successful head coach in the history of Eunice High School’s football program. That’s sort of the genetic cross new Bobcat defensive coordinator Trenon Trosclair has to bear.

Success makes demands on Bobcat schedule

Eunice High School’s football program is spoiled to success. With a reputation of winning district crowns and being a perennial playoff team, the good is that when the Bobcats are on the field they’re confident in most if not all situations.

Lady Cats shoot for a winning culture

When it comes to wins and losses at Eunice High, few programs have struggled to find consistent success as the girls’ basketball program has. The Lady Cats have seen the playoffs in the past, but for the most part there hasn’t been a long-term track record of success.

Lady Cats keep in shape with summer league

There isn’t much Eunice High head volleyball coach Wayne Fontenot can do during the summer with his team.
