The Eunice High Bobcats advanced to the second round of the Class 4-A playoffs and placed seven players on the All-District 4-4A baseball list.
The Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) held its end of the season tennis banquet Tuesday evening. The winning team for the spring season was announced, and Team Janet captured the win. The Eunice High Lady Bobcats won the District 4-4A title and advanced for the second time in program history to the state softball semifinals. The Lady Cats were recognized for their accomplishments with 10 players placed on the All-District 4-4A team.
Eunice High senior Sophie Vidrine signed a letter of intent on Thursday with Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport, to play softball. Vidrine, a shortstop, with Eunice High Lady Cats, received an athletic and academic scholarship from the college to play softball. Vidrine has been playing softball since the age of 4, and said she is looking forward to continuing to play ball and concentrate on her studies.
