Eunice High School seniors Allison Freeman and Madison Freeman signed a letter of intent with McNeese State University to join the university’s track and field team. Allison was rewarded with an academic and athletic scholarship, and Madison was awarded with a partial athletic and academic scholarship. The Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) held its end of the season tennis banquet Tuesday evening. The winning team for the spring season was announced, and Team Janet captured the win. Eunice High senior Sophie Vidrine signed a letter of intent on Thursday with Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport, to play softball. Vidrine, a shortstop, with Eunice High Lady Cats, received an athletic and academic scholarship from the college to play softball. Vidrine has been playing softball since the age of 4, and said she is looking forward to continuing to play ball and concentrate on her studies.
