St. Edmund High Dance team returns from camp with superior awards

The St. Edmund Dance team attended UDA camp at UL Lafayette in early June. The team was awarded Drill Down Superior, Superior Performance, Spirit Stick for four days, and All Americans were named. All American Dancers included Gabriella Bertrand, Avery Mcgee, Olivia Fuselier and Logan Landry.

Children enjoy ‘Libraries Rock’ themed reading at library

The summer reading theme of Storytime hour is “Libraries Rock” and with each reading on Wednesdays Bobbie Bordelon, children’s librarian, leads the children with some type of song and sometimes a dance too. Children listened to a song and performed the hand motions of the song last week.

Le’Fere Cajun Band at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by Le’Fere Cajun Band. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3. Children, 6, and under, admission is free.
