Get a head start on New Year’s resolutions

After the rush of the holiday season has largely ended, and the excess of the season starts to weigh on celebrants’ minds, it is customary for many people to start thinking about the changes they want to implement in the new year.
St. Edmund students participated in an Advent donation drive. St. Edmund selected several organizations they felt would benefit from the school’s generosity. Each grade level was assigned an organization to help. The classes not only brought in items from the suggested donation list to meet the recipients’ physical needs, but they most importantly lifted these people up in prayer to help meet their spiritual needs. The New Teacher of the Year at Eunice High School is Jeanne Elfert. Elfert is a health and physical education teacher and assistant volleyball coach, and distance track coach. She is a 1999 graduate of Eunice High School.

Birth Announcements

Paul Tupper Jr. Jennifer Marie Fontenot and “Tee” Paul Dewayne Tupper announce the birth of their son, Paul Dewayne Tupper Jr., born at Acadian Medical Center on Dec. 4 weighing 9 pounds and 7.6 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Clara Pope, and Lee Earl Fontenot Jr. of Kinder.

Manuel is Eunice High Teacher of the Year

Kaitlin Manuel is Eunice High School’s Teacher of the Year. Manuel is in her 12th year of teaching. She teaches art at Eunice High. Prior to teaching at Eunice High, she taught elementary art for three years. She is a 2007 Eunice High School graduate and a 2013 graduate from UL of Lafayette.
