The month of May will be here soon. Graduation will be approaching soon and much is needed ahead of time for the newspaper’s special graduation edition. Eunice High and St. Edmund seniors are to email their senior bios.

Malachi Robinson Derrick Robinson Sr. and Brook Suire of Eunice announce the birth of their son, Malachi Zakia Robinson, born at Acadian Medical Center on Feb. 20 weighing 6 pounds and 4 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Sherry Broussard and Kenneth Suire.

Joe Aucoin, a current junior at St. Edmund High, presented information about the Louisiana Youth Seminar to fellow classmates. The Louisiana Youth Seminar is held each summer. Aucoin attended the past two years. It is held on the LSU campus and will be July 22-25 this year.

Activities to strengthen the heart

The heart is a vital component of the human body. Without a functional heart, life is simply not possible. As with other muscles in the body, it is important to give the heart a workout to improve its strength and vitality.

Bulb & Blossom Club holds January, February meetings

The program for the January meeting of the Bulb & Blossom Garden Club was all about creating “miniature” flower arrangements. Luckily the meeting was held before the historic snow storm hit Eunice and lovely greens, berries and blossoms could still be found in winter gardens.
