Nora’ea August Tayona and Chad August of Eunice announce the birth of their daughter, Nora’ea Mae’liahna Reyn August, born at Acadian Medical Center on March 13 weighing 6 pounds and 8 ounces. Maternal grandmother is Faith Peterson of Eunice. Paternal grandfather is Reynaldo Woods of Eunice.

NAUW Eunice Branch honors Women in the Community

Members of the Eunice Branch of the National Association of University Women sponsored its annual program recently to recognize women in the community for for their skills and talents to help others in various ways and to make life better for them.

Emily Young, band director at Central Middle School and Eunice Jr. High, brought her band members to a Louisiana Music Educators Association District band event competition Monday and Tuesday on the campus of UL at Lafayette.
