The Xi Beta Theta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held its monthly meeting at LeVieyx Moulin in Church Point on April 8. Lauren Bourgeois, co-owner, conducted an art class and the ladies are shown with their completed paintings.

VFW Post and Auxiliary honors Americanism Essay winners

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8971 and Ladies Auxiliary each year host and sponsor an Americanism essay contest for Eunice students. Students from all Eunice elementary, junior high and high schools enter and participate in the contest.

The Belly Buddies Color Fun Run was held Saturday morning, and Katie Richard, founder and executive director, said it was a huge success. According to Richard there were nearly 500 entries for the run. Richard said it is considered the first annual and plans are to have the run again next year.

Eunice Community Garden Easter activities

Elton Elementary special education students took a special field trip to the Eunice Community Garden on March 28. The students enjoyed a Storytime reading and activities by Eunice librarians. A local park ranger assisted children with animal activities, and the kids enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt.
