Lawrence Theo “Monk” Moncla and Jo Ann Dement Moncla of Eunice have been married for 59 years. The couple has one son, Lawrence Joseph Moncla, a daughter-in-law Stacy Leger Moncla, and two grandchildren, Noah Lawrence Moncla and Lilliana Grace Moncla.

St. Edmund Middle and High School students competed in the Catholic Daughters of Americas Educational Contest and winners were named. In Division 2: Poetry, Lily Ann Vidrine, first place; Hallee Cart, second; Camille Cormier, third place.
Eunice High School Alumni Association presented members of the EHS Renaissance group with a sponsorship check as an Emerald donor ($2,000 & above) for the upcoming academic pep rally along with additional funds to support the purchase of T-shirts for students that achieve a certain GPA throughout the school year.
