St. Edmund Catholic School’s Beta Club hosted a “Christmas Cookie Festival” as a service for the holiday season. Elementary students were all invited. All money raised by this event went to the Eunice Food Bank to help people in the community have a better Christmas.

The Eunice Symphony Orchestra is now in its 22nd year and is currently gearing up for the “Broadway on the Bayou” concert to be presented on Jan. 20 at 5:30 p.m. inside the auditorium at Eunice High.

Simple ways to prolong the life of poinsettias

The red foliage on poinsettias are actually modified leaves called bracts. The flowers are the small, yellow buds in the center of the plant. Poinsettias and their rich red, white or variegated color schemes are the ideal backdrop for Christmas celebrations.
