Katie Castille-Richard Kylie Castille and Beaux Richard of Eunice announce the birth of their daughter, Katie Claire Castille-Richard, born at Acadian Medical Center on Sept. 6 weighing 7 pounds and 1.2 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Skeet Castille of Rayne and Desiree Spell of Campti.

Staff Report The 2023 Louisiana Swine Festival Pageants are set for Oct. 14 at McFarlain Memorial Gym at Basile High School. The main pageant will begin at 4 p.m. for the crowning of Miss La. Swine Festival for contestants between the ages of 17 and 23. The 4 p.m.

Eunice High School students are celebrating homecoming week with different dress days. Monday seniors wore togas and underclassmen were assigned different colors to wear. Tuesday was declared Country Club versus Country. Decades Day happened on Wednesday.
