Pancakes and Pajamas event planned Aug. 2

A Mother’s Love Organization and the City of Eunice will host a back-to-school brunch party Sunday, Aug. 2, at the Southeast Neighborhood Center. “Rise and Shine for a Pancakes & Pajamas Back to School Brunch Party” will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Green steps down as Eunice High boys basketball coach, accepts assistant position at Brusly

Bulb and Blossom Yards of the Month

The Bulb and Blossom Club of Eunice presented Kim and Jamie Thompson (pictured left) on Oakleaf Lane with the Residential Yard of the Month for July. Predominant in their landscape are dozens of pink obedient plants (native to Louisiana) and brightly colored zinnias.

Farmers Markets in town today

Reminder that it’s the first weekend of the new month, which means the City of Eunice is home to three different farmers’ markets today. Eunice Tractor Supply Farmer’s Market is being held today, Saturday, Aug. 1st and will continue through Sunday, Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Local veteran receives Tractor Supply grant

US army and marine corps veteran Jeffery Leger of Eunice received a $1,000 grant to support his farm thanks to the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) and Tractor Supply Company.

The Belly Buddies community fridge located at Tri-Parish Electrical Supply is clean and restocked. The non-profit organization is asking residents to remember to close the doors after taking what is needed. “No one wants to go get hot spoiled food because of this,” stated the organization in a PSA.
