City logs more than 100 incidents over the weekend

The Eunice Police Department recorded over 100 incidents from Friday morning through early Monday, including reports of theft, burglary, illegal use of weapons, a hit-and-run crash and a death by natural causes, according to departmental shift logs. The reports cover six shifts from 4 a.m.

Eunice Police Department scores new ride

The Eunice Police Department recently purchased a new Polaris Ranger XP Crew, and EPD Chief Kyle LeBouef said the UTV is definitely a huge asset to the department – especially just in time for hurricane season.

Joke Telling Night set Aug. 29

Catholic Daughters Court 208 will sponsor “Eunice’s Best” Joke Telling Night on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the VFW Hall, 3809 U.S. Highway 190 in Eunice. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m.

New Zion Women's Day Worship Service

New Zion Baptist Church in Eunice is hosting its annual Women’s Day Worship Service under the theme: Christian Women Standing on the Promises of God - Isaiah 43:1-2. The service is being held at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at New Zion, located at 251 Nimitz Street.

LSU-Eunice Summer Grads

Last Thursday, LSU Eunice celebrated its Diagnostic Medical Sonography graduates with their pinning ceremony. This amazing group have all found jobs before graduating and will be another group of tremendous Allied Health workforce produced here at LSUE.

Glendale announces back-to-school schedule

Glendale Elementary will welcome students and families back to campus for the 2026-2027 school year with a meet-and-greet and staggered-entry schedule. The school’s meet-and-greet will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11.
