Bulb & Blossom Garden Club A worm bin can be a fun and easy alternative way to compost, especially if you do not have enough room for a compost pile.

Ted Houston and his crew from Williams Gas Pipeline Transco every year do volunteer work, and they refer to this day as their Volunteer Project. They choose a city and a project to clean up and beautify. On Wednesday morning the crew volunteered and worked at the Harris Park in Eunice.

Trooper returns to road after year of recovery

By Rebecca Chaisson Managing Editor Louisiana State Trooper Kevin McFarlain of Eunice returned to the road Thursday night for his first shift in 281 days. McFarlain was struck by a passing motorist in July of 2025 while working a crash on US 190 in Opelousas.

Rebecca Chaisson Managing Editor A foggy windshield led to an early morning car crash last week at the intersection of West Laurel and South Bobcat. An 18-year-old driver was attempting to make a left turn on the yellow caution arrow at that intersection.
