UBS drive set Friday at Walmart
Blood donations are needed now to prepare for Memorial Day weekend blood needs.
The United Blood Services mobile will be in Eunice from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Walmart parking lot in Eunice. Red cell, plasma and platelet donations are needed now to help secure the blood supply for Memorial Day holiday weekend blood needs. All blood types are needed, especially type O-negative, as it is the most transfused type in emergency situations.

The Notre Dame summa cum laude graduates maintained a 4.0 grade point average with exclusive participation in honors college bound for four consecutive years at Notre Dame. Those graduates include, from left, Alex Foreman, Catherine Gonzalez, Valerie Harson, Principal Cindy Istre, Elise Landry, Cameron Russell, Meaghan Thibodeaux and Henry Wild.

113 graduated from Notre Dame on Friday

Once again it was standing room only at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point as 113 students became graduates of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish.
Notre Dame’s Class of 2018 was celebrated via a Mass before its commencement ceremony Friday morning beginning at 9 a.m. Both events were held at the church.
