Acadia Parish Police Jury adopts culvert installation policy

An new ordinance regulating the installation of culverts along parish roads allows residents to contract with the Police Jury for the labor involved in the installation. The property owner is responsible for the cost of the culverts and the cover.

Beautification project at City Hall and 2nd Street

Angelia Guillory, community service supervisor for the City of Eunice, has started a beautification project. The project is by the municipal complex near the grounds and parking. Guillory said she began the flowering project in July and is now working on downtown 2nd Street.

Music to return to downtown Eunice

Live music returns to downtown Eunice when Fall Into Downtown begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday on 2nd Street featuring Three Thirty Seven, and Horace Trahan and the Ossun Express. The event is focused on bringing the community together, said Alicia Mire, the city’s Main Street director.

New ladder truck enhances city firefighting capabilities
