6 properties on city agenda

Six properties are on the Eunice Board of Aldermen’s agenda for its Tuesday meeting. Two properties face show cause hearings, which is final step in the city’s condemnation process. Those properties are 720 Carron St., and 721 Carron St.

Parish Council moves forward with plant tax exemption

A plant that is to employ 55 to 65 people at salaries from $40,000 to $60,000 a year is under consideration for a 5-year tax exemption. The St. Landry Parish Council Administrative-Finance Committee approved sending the exemption to the full Council meeting on Oct. 20.
