DSAA Buddy Walk set for Oct. 27 The Down Syndrome Association of Acadiana will have its 14th annual Buddy Walk on Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Parc International, 200 Garfield Street, downtown Lafayette. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Cost is $15 per person.

St. Thomas More Fall Fest dates set The St. Thomas More Church’s Fall Festival will be held Friday from 6 until 10 p.m., from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, and Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The fair armbands are $20 each for one 4-hour period. Weekend armbands are $40.

PPHS’s Perrodins named 2018 Tournoi Pageant Queens

New royalty was crowned Saturday at the Louisiana Tournoi Pageant. The newly crowned queens were Miss Tournoi Queen Taylor Grace Perrodin and Teen Tournoi Queen Riana Perrodin. Taylor Grace Perrodin is the 16-year-old daughter of Brandy and Shannon Joubert and Rory Perrodin.

U.S. representative to hold town hall U.S. Rep. Mike Johnson, R-Benton, will host a town hall from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sunset Community Center, 108 Leo Richard Lane, Sunset. Security will be present at the town hall event. No signs or obstructions will be permitted inside.
