LSU Eunice mourns the loss of incoming softball student-athlete, Jaycee Carter. Carter passed away unexpectedly late Thursday evening. “We are all in shock and completely devastated,” said head coach Andy Lee.

Sorenson named LSUE chancellor

Nancee Sorenson has been selected as the next chancellor of LSU Eunice, LSU President F. King Alexander announced. Sorenson is the president at Hillsborough Community College, Brandon Campus. “We are pleased to welcome Dr. Nancee Sorenson to LSU Eunice and the LSU leadership team,” Alexander said.

LSUE’s graduates were urged to keep growing by commencement speaker Dr. Kim Hunter, state commissioner of higher education, on Friday. Hunter addressed the ceremony for 147 summer and fall graduates, which was said to be the largest number in 20 years.

304 named to LSUE’s spring Chancellor’s List

EUNICE — LSU Eunice has named 304 students to the Spring Semester 2018 Chancellor’s List in recognition of their academic achievement. The list comprises full-time students who maintained at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale during the semester.
