Parish burn ban lifted

ST. LANDRY PARISH - St. Landry Parish Government has officially lifted the parishwide burn ban, effective immediately. The decision comes following recent rainfall and improved weather conditions that have significantly reduced the risk of wildfires across the parish.

St. Landry Crime Stoppers wins 18th Top National Award

The St. Landry Parish Crimestoppers program has earned the Social Media Award from Crime Stoppers USA Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz stated, in a news release, “We are gratified that St. Landry Crime Stoppers has won a Top National Award at the National Conference held recently in New Orleans.

Walk to Fight Suicide event set

There will be a Suicide Awareness event “Walk to Fight Suicide” in downtown Eunice on Saturday, Nov. 8. The Eunice Out of the Darkness Community Walk will begin with registration at 9 a.m. at the city hall parking lot and the walk to begin at 10 a.m.
