The following is an arrest by Eunice Police. October 24 Donald Veillion, 41, 400 block of Toby Mouton Road, Duson. Aggravated second-degee battery and second-degree kidnapping.

Ernest Fluckers Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Ernest Fluckers Jr. announces his passing on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 4:05 a.m. at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas. He was 77. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice.

Blessing of the Graves at Carron Cemetery

The annual Blessing of the Graves at Carron Cemetery will take place at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The liturgical event happens each year ahead of All Souls and All Saints Day.
