St. Landry Parish high school scores released Tuesday. In St. Landry Parish there were 980 high school students tested in English I with the following results in percentages: 2, advanced; 27, mastery; 30, basic; 25, approaching basic; and 15, unsatisfactory.

St. Landry Parish test scores lower than those in area parishes

Louisiana student performance improved in social studies and remained steady in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics on recent Louisiana Educational Assessment Program tests, also known as LEAP 2025, according to a Louisiana State Department of Education news release.

Resolution to link Clovis Crawfish to the city

Splash pads opened

Two splash pads, one at the Fairground Park and the other at the former Amy swimming pool near Central Middle School, were opened Saturday. Mayor Scott Fontenot announced the splash pad news at Tuesday’s meeting of the Eunice Board of Aldermen. They were both packed with kids and adults, he said.

Sales tax collections take sharp upturn

Sales tax collections in some cases rose sharply in St. Landry Parish in June, according to statistics from the St. Landry Parish School Board Sales Tax Division. Collections through June were ahead of those in the same period in 2017 in Eunice, St.
